Light Up While Reducing Energy

As part of PSA Marine's continuous effort to reduce unnecessary resource consumption, installation of motion-sensor lightings is one of the projects that the company has undertaken since 2020. Places such as lobby area, lift corridors, toilets, staircases and basement carparks have since been installed with LED lightings that are able to detect motion and switch on only when in need. This initiative has enabled us to save electricity costs through the reduction in energy consumption, leading to lesser fossil fuels usage and CO2 emission.

Dual Fuel Dual Possibilities

As part of PSA Marine’s continuous commitment to a greener marine environment, two dual fuel LNG harbour tugs, PSA Aspen and PSA Oak, were built and deployed for operations in 2019 and 2020. The PSA Marine dual fuel LNG harbour tugs are equipped to operate in either diesel or LNG mode. These vessels contribute towards significant reductions in particulate matter, SOx-, NOx-, CO2- emissions and noise.

Food Sustainability Starts At Work

With the objective of educating future generations on food security and sustainability while creating a space for all, a smart hydroponics farm was set up on PSA Marine’s office rooftop. Named as Gerické (Ge-ri-kay), the farm is a tribute to Dr. William Frederick Gericke - the "father of hydroponics", where vegetables are grown and harvested through a modern hydroponics system, incorporated with smart technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things) sensors and cameras.
