Marine Crew
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform lookout duties on the craft;
- Handle craft’s mooring ropes during berthing and unberthing;
- Maintain cleanliness of the deck, engine room and wheelhouse of the craft;
- Assist passengers in their safe embarkation and disembarkation; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Possess at least GCE N/O Levels, Nitec/Higher Nitec qualifications; and
- Be willing to perform shift work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Launch Master takes command of the harbour launch which provides seaward transportation and supports the safe transfer of passengers when the launch is out at sea. He maneuvers the launch, assisted by the Marine Assistant, and is overall responsible for the safe navigation and movement of the launch.
- When alongside, the Launch Master’s duties include checking on equipment status and machinery health, carrying out hands-on and practical seamanship duties including safe mooring of the vessel and other responsibilities for safe and effective vessel operations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Possess at least GCE N/O Levels, Nitec/Higher Nitec qualifications;
- Possess a valid Port Limit Steersman (PLSM) licence issued by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore; and
- Be willing to perform shift work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take command of the tug and its crew;
- Navigate the tug safely and ensure proper precautions are taken by the crew, including the posting of a lookout in the wheelhouse;
- Monitor the machinery performance from the bridge and to ensure that regular checks on engine room’s machinery have been carried out by the Engineers;
- Ensure all crew and contractors are properly attired with required PPE;
- Assign maintenance/other work/job to crew and conduct risk assessment prior to commencement of work;
- Take responsibility for the safety of the tug and crew under all circumstances and to ensure that all repairs/defects are being attended;
- Oversee and take charge of bunkering procedure with compliance to bunkering checklist provided;
- Ensure that all equipment, instruments, life-saving apparatus, fire-fighting appliances and machinery are in good working condition and ensure that proper maintenance records are kept; and
- Communicate with the operations staff at Mission Command Centre on tug operations at all times and to report any breakdown, accident, loss of properties, etc. immediately to the Duty operations staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be responsible for running and maintenance of the engine room and deck machinery of the tug.
- To be responsible for the bunkering, monitoring and recording of fuel/oil consumption of the craft.
- To attend to minor repairs of tug equipment and machinery.
- To report and record in the Engine Log Book any breakdown of engine, machinery and any accident.
- To submit timely the detailed PM defect list prior to the PM schedule date.
- To assist Technicians during repairs and PMs.
- To ensure that the machinery, equipment, etc, on board the tug are greased and maintained regularly.
- To handle towlines/tow winch and equipment during tug operations as instructed by the Tug Master.
- To carry out cleaning and maintenance work of tug, deck, engine room, wheelhouse and other equipment and appliances on board tug.
- To perform lookout duties as required by tug master.
- To attend to the safe securing of tug moored alongside and assist in splicing/replacing of tow ropes.
- To check all life-saving apparatus and other appliances on board tug and ensure its validity and operation readiness.
- To perform fire-fighting duties.
