Fleet Engineering
RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates are expected to:-
- Carry out repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery onboard PSA Marine harbour crafts;
- Liaise with Fleet Operations team on breakdown reports and harbour craft status;
- Perform lathe machining, basic gas welding and cutting works to facilitate repair to machinery;
- Assist in lifting activities, forklift operation, confined space assessment; and
- Perform proper disposal of used oils and chemicals.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should preferably:-
- Possess at least a Nitec in Marine Technology, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications; and
- Prior experience in performing mechanical fitment, basic gas and TIG welding, hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting will be considered favourably.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates are expected to:-
- Organise, lead and deploy a team of Fleet Engineering Specialists to carry out maintenance and repair work of machineries and equipment onboard marine crafts;
- Update Fleet Engineering Management team on the daily manpower deployment;
- Coordinate with Fleet Operations team daily for repair and maintenance of marine crafts and to provide feedback on readiness of marine crafts for operations;
- Take lead in driving Fleet innovation and/or newbuild projects;
- Review inventory and non-stock items and propose recommendations to stock spares for maintenance and repair work;
- Plan and monitor the maintenance schedule of all equipment onboard marine crafts and in the workshop;
- Engage external stakeholders (e.g. shipyards) to carry out scheduled docking and project management of the jobs;
- Develop plans for the learning and development, performance and discipline of the team of Fleet Engineering Specialists;
- Mentor, coach and motivate the team of Fleet Engineering Specialists to achieve the relevant targets and outcomes;
- Work with the key managers to co-create a conducive working environment;
- Upkeep and maintain proper documentation records of all assets, jobs done, purchase for spares, special tools and manpower utilisation; and
- Identify emerging technologies and its application to the operations.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should preferably:-
- Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent;
- Have good cross-discipline knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering domain;
- Have good knowledge of electrical and instrument systems and familiar with electrical schematics diagram and symbols;
- Have good leadership qualities and flair for problem-solving and project management skills;
- Have good interpersonal skills with the ability to build cordial and effective working relationships;
- Have good communications skills which includes written and presentation skills; and
- More experienced candidates may be considered for a senior position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Troubleshoot and carry out thorough rectification of deficiencies in machinery and control system
- Perform wiring and connection of electrical cables
- Install electrical and electronic accessories and components
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should preferably:-
- Possess at least a Nitec in Marine Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and MOM accredited certifications such as SSIC, Safety Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor, Forklift Driving
- Good knowledge of electrical and instrument systems and familiar with electrical schematics diagrams and symbols will be considered favourably
- Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a senior position

RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates are expected to:-
- Collaborate with Fleet Engineering Managers and team leaders to plan and implement maintenance, repair, and overhaul programmes, analyse breakdown trends, and recommend intervention measures;
- Work with Fleet Engineering Managers, Fleet Operations Managers, and stakeholders on vessel newbuild programmes, including supervision, commissioning, and sea trials;
- Partner with Fleet Engineering Managers and Fleet Safety Managers to design and implement workplace safety and health programmes and campaigns to raise awareness and drive safe practices;
- Coordinate with Fleet Engineering and Procurement teams to plan, optimise, and implement term contracts for parts and aftersales support, while driving process redesign and innovation initiatives;
- Support Fleet Sustainability Manager and stakeholders in planning, developing, and implementing sustainability practices, partnerships, and maritime decarbonisation initiatives enabled by data and technology;
- Partner with Business Development teams to provide operational support for overseas business units and projects, including readiness audits, tender evaluations/proposals, asset mobilisation and demobilisation, vessel registration, re-flagging, and turnkey solutions;
- Work with Fleet leaders, HR team and key stakeholders, including Union leaders, to lead workforce engagement, change management, community relations, and productivity programmes across local and overseas business units; and
- Undertake stretch assignments and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should preferably:-
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent;
- Have at least 6 years of experience in managing a fleet of tugs and harbour crafts;
- Possess at least 6 years of experience working in or with shipyards/ship repair facilities;
- Be willing to undertake short overseas assignments of two to three weeks; and
- Demonstrate strong multi-disciplinary and cross-functional exposure.
