PSA Marine has an excellent
reputation in the marine industry.
The Straits of Malacca and Singapore (SOMS) is one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes. Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore recognize the importance of the SOMS for international navigation and are committed to ensure navigational safety, protecting its marine environment and facilitating safe transit of vessels through the SOMS.
At the 43rd session of the Tripartite Technical Experts Group of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore on safety of navigation in the SOMS in Sep 2018, it was agreed amongst the littoral states that the Voluntary Pilotage Services (VPS) in the SOMS will take effect on 1 Jan 2019. The Guidelines state that VPS in the SOMS are to be provided by Straits Pilots certified by the relevant Authority in each littoral state for its own candidates. In Singapore, the relevant Authority is the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Please click here for details.
Since 2001, PSA Marine has been providing marine advisory services round-the-clock. We are proud to inform that effective 1 Jan 2019, all our straits pilots have met the high standard certification criteria set by MPA and have been awarded with the Straits Pilot Certificate.
PSA Marine’s straits pilots are also practising harbour pilots at the Port of Singapore who hold MPA’s highest class of pilotage licence. Only PSA Marine is able to provide a seamless transit to/from the rendezvous point and any destinations in Singapore.
In partnership with PT Batam Mitra Suplindo (BMS), we provide ship-to-ship (STS) transfer services, including the provision of STS equipment, tugs, mooring superintendent and the person-in-overall advisory control (POAC), in the Nipa Transit Anchorage Area (NTAA).
NTAA occupies 62 square nautical miles of deep water and is well-sheltered all year-round. Aside from STS transfer services, we can assist you in using NTAA as a transit anchorage for your vessels as they await deployment, perform repairs afloat, cleaning and purging of tanks as well as short and long-term lay-up.
Our advantage is that we offer a one-stop service solution for our customers to ensure a smooth and seamless end-to-end operation that also includes comprehensive agency functions and handling of formalities such as customs and immigration clearances.
As our customers, you can be assured and have peace of mind knowing you are in safe hands.
Navigational audit is a service we offer exclusively to our marine advisory customers. The audit aims to help you and your fleet to enhance standards of safe navigation and adopt best practices.
Our navigational auditors will provide an objective assessment on the bridge team and its compliance to mandatory rules and regulations, clients’ requirements and industry standards. On completion of the audit, we will provide a customisable and detailed report for your review.
